I consider my upbringing a true blessing.  I usually like to characterize my life by strong brotherhood.  My dad had five boys, no girls in the fam and we had two of our male cousins live in our house during some of their college days.  That coupled with some stellar brothers in Christ as iron sharpeners has made my life experience truly a blessing.
I first believed the Lord to be who He said he was at age thirteen.  Since that time, God has been merciful to me in teaching me His ways.  I’m serious when I say that I’ve enjoyed the choicest mercies from the Lord, many of which have come totally unsought and all undeserved.  However, God has taught me how you can’t know the heights of His mercies without knowing the depths of your sins.  You can’t have His grace without knowing His justice.  Truths are sent to us twofold oftentimes, and I received them gradually overtime.  They have recently led me to go to Haiti to serve with AIM this summer.  Please read, “How I got here” for more.  What an awesome road and testimony is has been to arrive at such an opportunity to be a servant of the Lord!  I hope the road continues from there to be an exciting story, always marked by a strong influence from God.
Just like the Thomas in Bible who required a sign from the Lord to prove His resurrection, so did I require a confirmation from God to go and do something here for His kingdom.  And God obliged my unreasonable request by making the way obvious.  The next move I make will be taken with a larger amount of faith from an undoubting Thomas.
